On Sunday May 22nd a memorial was unveiled at the site of RAF Hunsdon, Hertfordshire. 611 formed part of the Hunsdon Wing with 154 Squadron with Mustangs. 611 Squadron has been honoured upon the memorial. It's number being amongst the list of the 26 squadrons who operated from the airfield during 1941-45. All of Hunsdon's Squadron numbers, are inscribed on the blade of the propeller that adorns the top of the memorial. The memorial should be visible from the public road if anyone would like to see it.
